First off let me apologize for playing the Devil's advocate. I also stated in my post that if it was true I was sorry to hear about it and hoped the driver recovered. I have been on a few forums and new members join and right off the bat, they start the sympathy post. I thought this might be one of those such post. You wouldn't believe one of the ones we came across. It had to be one of the biggest made up life stories you ever came across on the web by a 16 year old kid from Indy.

I live in TX and here we don't keep our plates unless they are personalized and then you have to transfer them I think. I never had them so I don't really know. Here you get 1 temporary paper tag from the dealership until your plates arrive. I saw what looks like a regular plate on the front which in our state would mean you had the car for more then 10 days or so. Also after reading the quote below in the other thread about this.

Does the person that was following you have a clue what happened just before you crashed? I had a very bad wreck way back when. I was blacking out from being drunk(I haven't had a drink in 22 years now). I don't remember the drive up to the point of the wreck. I remember the few seconds before we went sideways and rolled through the air, and waking up after the wreck upside down in the car. The only reason I now what happened during the wreck was because 2 of my friends were with me and not injured told me what happened. I was the only one hurt, and think god for that.

OGDEN – A Homer man was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon.

According to a Champaign police report, Daniel L. Chapman, 27, who listed an address in Homer, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro north on Illinois 49 approaching the Ogden village limits when his vehicle left the highway and crashed into a tree near a home at 1577N Illinois 49 at 1:45 p.m. Sunday.

Chapman told police he had only four hours of sleep and thought he may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

Chapman was taken by ambulance to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, where he was treated for injuries.

Police issued a citation to Chapman for improper lane usage.

Looks like this one fell victim to no sleep like the silver one did. Too Quiet? At least the guy lived - that is one safe car!

I'm glad to hear that you are doing well after that accident! After reading through your posts and looking at the pictures, here is a theory of how it may have occurred..... From the damage, you had to have been doing in excess of 60 mph and probably lost control. You stated your GF was following in your old blazer but didn't see the accident which also leads to the theory that you were speeding leaving her far enough behind not to see anything that happened. Now I'm no officer or an investigator and I wasn't on the scene to see for myself, but that is what I get from the post! Hope all works out for you in the long run!

First off WOW I am so grateful you are "ok" in terms of ok-ness! Sorry for your loss but it is just metal!
Not sure if anyone else pointed this out but based upon your "Possibly I fell asleep " I would once you are healthy get a sleep test to see if you may have a sleep disorder. It is treatable and is worth looking into and honestly down the road could save you or a passengers life! There is actually nothing wrong with someone who has a sleep disorder and after such an accident I would definitely make an appointment and actually it probably could get wrapped into this accidents auto coverage so no out-of-pocket expense but seriously glad you made it man!

Glad you are ok I have lost a family member in a car wreck. Don't pay attention to the people who want to accuse you of speeding or wreckless driving you see they know everything and there is nothing we can do about it Remeber they weren't there and if they don't pull their heads out their you know what's they might be hitting a tree.

I just read that article are you FREAKING kidding me they gave you a ticket for improper lane usage........SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
