Personally I would wait until that LS99 has around 3500 to 4000 miles on it. Then start holding it accountable..but yet again I never leave anything stock But I can understand your frustration with your car.

Understand your frustration, throw a tune on it and or mod it....and enjoy it.
When you get right down to it there is always someone out there that has something faster than a stock muscle car and that includes the new ZR-1 and the euro high dollar exotics.

You can't expect to run great performance numbers in the heat of the summer.

I'd bet the numbers posted by GM have a certain percentage of error associated with them as no engine is absolutely identical to another...there will always be very slight differences in manufacturing and assembly that...when they combine...exceed GM's numbers or fail to meet them. If speed/power is your number 1 priority, then sell the car and buy something different. Or, forget about the warranty and mod the car until you get it where you like it. Regardless, if being .5-1.5 seconds slower than some...not all...of the other L99's is keeping you from enjoying your car, then life's too short to be unhappy.

In engineering, one runs what is called a monte carlo analysis. You caculate all tolerances and look for best and worst case, then design for the center of that range. That way, if tolerances stack up against you, you still fall within acceptable range.

YOU KNOW????

That's the difference between one guy holding the stop watch and another guy holding the stop watch.

My L99 is fast... My mileage is high... It rides comfortably... It runs smooth... When I do 90, it feels like I'm going 25...

What more can you ask for?

I'm not placing any bets on my car at any race tracks though.

And I don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone, or myself.

A few L99 folks do have problems... others are just jumping on the bandwagon because there's a new L99 thread coming out every other day... LS3 runs the same times... Get a bunch of Camaros together, go to the track like we did, and you'll find out...

I can't break a 2.2 60' time either, but I can hang side by side with an LS3

This is really an outrage I have had GM cars all my life which the last one was a 2005 GTO which was much MUCH faster. The car before that was a 2003 ZO6. I don’t know what to do next. I did not have time to pick up the car today. My service writer says I still have an open case number and I can call GM on Monday. She also said that several other dealers are calling in with the same problem but it does not seem like they want to do anything about it.

I am looking for feedback and ideas on what to do next.

Press and hold the traction control button for 7 seconds and it will turn off both traction control (TC) and launch control, then it's all you.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery and letting it sit overnight to reset the ECU???

Is everyone that is having problems with power running 93 octane fuel? I also wonder about the test cars in magazines and what they use for fuel compared to fuel we can buy at the local Mobil or Texaco Station that has 10% ethanol.....my crude understanding of ethanol is that it reduces the total energy capacity of gasoline by diluting it....most people would never know of the power loss because they never come close to using the full amount of power an engine can produce, but for time runs it might be a problem.

A full 1/4 mile track run would be informative, to see what MPH trap speed the car puts up. That's a pretty good gauge of power, and it doesn't rely as much on raw traction as 0-60 runs. But I think you may have said there are no tracks around you?

The charge that "My car's not fast enough" isn't going to cut it. GM doesn't guarantee acceleration times.
