Leasing a New ZL1

Is there anyone who has leased a new ZL1? After getting 90% through the process, my dealership is now saying they can't lease it because it's a "super car" or "super high performance" or something like that.

I have never heard of this... Is this a thing, or has anyone heard of this?

Pissed off at the Dealership,
Gabe

Garbage. The dealer wants the sale vs the lease. I leased my 13 ZL1 with US bank at the Chevrolet dealer.

So Becky confirmed with me that GM wont lease it.

And, Becky is awesome. I wish I could have bought it from her.

GM Canada won't let anyone lease this car. I suppose some outside dealer could buy then lease but the rates would be nuts. But they can't get one anyways as there are none. Book closed..

That doesn't make sense. You can lease a Corvette Z06...same engine and a more expensive car. Maybe it is just because residuals haven't been set yet? But I can't imagine that GM will not allow a ZL1 lease going forward. The rates may suck however, I believe I read they are horrible for the Z06.

Yep, totally confirmed. Not sure if it is for now or forever, GM will not do a lease on the 2017 ZL1. It may be due to the vehicle brand new, but Becky did say that it is not even listed in the... something. There are other external companies like Ally and some others that will, but yes the rates are not going to be good.

Ended up getting a pretty good rate so I'll be happy to own it too. I guess it's time for mods... the silver lining.

A lease or a sale is the same thing. Its a sold unit.

I'm assuming the ink is drying on your paperwork GC1, but I'm a lease facilitator from Dallas, TX and we have residuals on the ZL1. So we could lease them through US Bank, Ally, or our own lease line. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Penfed

My guess GM won't lease it, but other banks will. The dealer probably wants there financing credit so they are trying to deter you from leasing it as they can't make the same kick back.... Try Penfed as they do a form of a lease through there payment saver loan, and with the ZL1 it should retain value well and you should be able to sell it once first part of loan is up.

What would a lease look like on the zl1? Hope you dont mind me asking that openly.
