Got a note from George at Rockland Standard Gear that my transmission is ready... I'll call Monday and take care of the paperwork and get that on the way...

So, my transmission is on a truck somewhere between Sloatsburg NY and New Braunfels Texas...

Still waiting for a note from ERL (which they promise will be this week) so I can call and make the final payment on the motor and they will ship it. If we dont hear from them by close of business Friday, we have made the decision that we will not run the March Texas Mile. Registration is Sunday and I will not sign up if there is little to no possibility of having Brandi ready.... Corey still has a business to run to make a living...

The dry sump system from Dailey is on order. It's a multi stage system with a Peterson sump tank. The only component we thought about but couldn't get is the air oil seperator which would require moving the starter to the other side of the motor... We are not doing that...

Bill Dailey did comment that as fast as we run the mile (time wise) and the size of the reservoir, we wont have any issues with aereated oil going back into the motor... additionally, the reservoir will have a catch can with it that will help with any potential issues...

here are a couple of videos on how the dry sump system works.

Again, we wont be using the air / oil seperator but here is a video explaing how the system works.

Enjoy... we are rapidly approaching crunch time for the March running of the mile... I'll be looking for other events to run if the March Texas Mile doesn't work out...

below uis a representative image of the oil reservoir will will be running... This will most probably be mounted in the rear seat area behind the passenger seat... There is no back seat in Brandi and it will soon be walled off from the front seat area with sheet metal. Interior finish are a secondary concern right now... We'll attend to that after we get her all dialed in and running strong...

So, Stephanie from ERL notified Corey my motor was finished and packaged... I called and took care of the balance and it will ship tomorrow... Woohoo...

So the motor and trans are on the way, the dry sump stuff is ordered, tons of work to do but it's getting closer...

I asked Stephani at ERL if this was overnight shipping.... She said no... She thought I was serious, and I was...

The spin rate will be determined during tuning... it'll be balancing fuel capacity and intake flow... and power... The valve train is designed for handling 9,000 all day long, but it's yet to be officially determined yet...

Funny story, I took a guy for a ride one evening.... I drove around for a few to make sure all the temps were up, and not long before I hammered on her for a second, he looks at me and says dude, I got a h%&^ on.... I laughed and told him to keep it on his side of the car....

He had really wobbly knees when he got out of the car a few minutes later.... and he was only the passenger...

I can imagine, I've had people yelp and scream in my stock SS, so I'm sure your car turns adults into little kids. As a side note, I was on another forum earlier, recommending some tires to another user, and instead of copying the link to the tires onto the thread, I copied the link to the image above. Needless to say, people were either confused, or figured I really liked the tires...

So according to my UPS tracking number, my motor will arrive by the end of the day, Wednesday the 14th of Jan... I have no tracking info on the trans but it should be here before then... Best guesstimate.

ok, yes I need an intervention.... Corey notified me the transmission arrived yesterday afternoon, and I just checked again... My motor is in Dallas..... if the weather didn't suck so bad, I might go get it myself...
