I have a sickening feeling that she'll stick with the CRZ. I remember before I got the Camaro I was looking at them for months and lurking in these forums just obsessing over the Camaro, and even after I test drove like 5 other cars comparible to the Camaro (challenger, mustang, genesis, G8) I still chose the Camaro since that is what my heart was set on. Despite how nice some of the other cars were. Anybody that has test driven a Challenger knows that those rides are F*ckin AWESOME...but yeah, I just hope I can sway her over to the chevy side!

You should go drive both to get a feel. Personally I'm liking the Malibu as well. May not get as good as gas mileage as the Cruze but they look to be good. I had an '01 Impala LS (the loaded model) that I sold for the Camaro. I actually liked that car alot....don't really like the new Impala body style though. I bought my Impala used.....paid $10.5, 3 yrs old, and had 48k on it. Sold it with right at 100k on it. Had a few minor problems but nothing I would consider major at all. I probably had $13k in everything thing I did/fixed (including tires) and drove it for almost 6 yrs and sold if for almost $4k. For cars....it was a great return for the money. BUT.....Camaro is a hell of a lot more fun though. Don't regret my decision at all but do miss the Impala on occassion.

Well, that is one ugly useless car she wants. Make sure to get yourself some kind of disguise if you are ever forced to ride in it.

Lol I gota pretty good mask left over from Halloween, I'm gonna drag her to other dealerships though and test drive a bunch of cars before she chooses. I think that will help sway her from the crz. I've been reading nothing but crap reviews on it. I bet they will stop making them and then finding parts to repair them will be impossible haha.

That's why you should have all your cars in your name. That way you can trade it in for her. Despite the fact that you won't be "riding" in what you want for a while, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing she is riding around an excellent vehicle, and American (mostly)at that

Yeah well she's over there right now and gave me a bunch of crap about how she wants the CRZ like I wanted the Camaro yadda yadda yadda.
BUT! 1st of all, NOBODY wants a Camaro like I do, I would dream about the car before I got it (still sometimes do). 2nd of all she went to the dealership without me, I included her in every step of the buying process for my Camaro..I would have thought that she would return the favor ya know? husband and wife should make decisions like CAR buying together IMO. LAST but not least, I just plain don't like the CRZ, it's wierd, it's unpractical and it's not even slightly fast. and upgrading it is a pain in the a$$ as far as I've heard.

Definitely have her drive a Cruze.
Has she looked at a Fusion? Those things are selling like hotcakes. Very nice midsize car for the money. There's also the Jetta. Also a very solid little car, and fun to drive. Lots of attention to detail. ....Anything but Japanese or Korean. Sorry, that's my personal car-bias. |

1badls3 you don't have to be sorry at all. I'd rather her push a chevy, ford or dodge down the road then drive a honda lol.

How 'bout the Equinox?
My wife picked the SRX AWD. What could I say? She let me have the Camaro after-all. Andy
