BC Coilovers Help!
I bought a set of brand new BC coilovers, and I had them installed a shop a few months back. I loved the way the car sat, and the feel of the suspension.
Now, about a month ago I was at a light about to make a left. As I drive off and turn left, I heard/felt a *THUMP* coming from the driver's side suspension. Ever so often, I would hear the same noise only when turning my staring wheel left. I didn't know what to think, until I noticed how the coilover would sit on the driver's side strut tower vs the passenger's. I'm aware of the 1/4" gap from the coilovers and the strut tower, but this gap is considerably larger, especially compared to the passenger's. Could this be the cause of the issue? Should both sides of the coilovers have the same gap? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's is a pretty big gap. Have you tried removing the adjust or knob and tightening the top nut on both struts? Or take it back to the shop and ask them to do it.

I'm taking it back to the shop for sure.

A small gap is normal. That looks way too big. It looks like the shop did not preload the coil overs.

So what happened. Was it a preload issue?
