Trade-in Value?
Anyone know what trade-in value would be for a 2LT/RS with about 800 miles?

You're not too far away from me. I'll be right there... I've got $2.43 in pocket change, and I'll throw in the lint.
Sorry... Depends on your location and other factors. Have you tried Edmunds to get a rough idea?

Edmunds & KBB dont have used prices for 2010 Camaros yet. I just saw a Victory Red 2SS/RS at Tom Henry just thinking.

Miles will not make a difference, there are already a few out there. Expect it to come in mid 20s depending on options.

Well, whatever it is, be prepared for it to be a lot less than what you want to hear.... (just my hunch)

And then expect it to get marked way up over MSRP, because that makes sense

I'd probably take too big of a hit to do it. I'm looking at probably a $5,000 - $7,000 loss (Trade-in + paying off current loan + paying taxes again).

You'll do better in a private sale. There's no way that you'll get even a halfway decent deal at a dealer. If you were local, I could help you sell it for a small cut, but you're not.

Unless you don't care to lose money, keep it. Not to sound like a dumbass but the money you will lose plus the added cost of the SS, 122 HP is not worth it. Sure you get the brakes and a few other goodies too but you could probably upgrade the LT to be better than an SS for what you'd be out to upgrade... maybe. I don't know. I test drove and was ready to buy a 1LT in May (dealer car) but my wife talked me out of it and we ordered the 2SS. THANKS HONEY!

My advice would be to keep it a couple of years and enjoy the crap out of it. Say that you get a 2SS now and then in 2012 they come out with a Z28 that is even more delicious. Now you want to trade the 2SS on that one and you get even further in the hole.
Stick with what you have now and take care of it and you'll get a good trade on it in a few years. |
