Lol try living in Oregon. Also if you're still on the F1's for tires that is probably half the problem. Got Pilot Super Sport 285/315s and they are gold in colder temps.

Just flipped through an online owner's manual, it's specific to convertibles and it's double tapping the TC button and then it should have 2 orange lights in the tach (Showing that Competition mode is enabled and traction/stabilitrac is on standby). Not sure if it's specific to manual transmissions or not, mine is an M6. Go see if it works in yours.

Yep cold temps and summer tires don't mix. Had a moment like yours in a roundabout Friday. After it was over I was like woah that was a little fun.

I have the M6...When I double tap the TC button and the two indicator lights appear traction/ESP are disabled in tour mode, if in sport mode it opens the performance settings...

I've gotten use to the rear braking loose, so unless I'm putting on a show gradual acceleration is all that is needed to pass most slower moving vehicles...To all, just remember how much this car loves cold temps and please be careful, we don't want to loose anyone!!!

50-60 degrees isn't really cold in the Northeast....yikes. I'd better be careful. I've heard of other ZL owners complaining about their tires when its cold out.

I'm starting to think a lot of it is due to the factory F1's that come on our cars. Anyone else having trouble getting traction with other non-factory summer rated tires?

Its time for you to do that car justice and get some better tires. R888s would suit that car very well.

Is the car still stock?

I have ran Michelin Super Sports in this type of weather 40's-50's and have never had this much trouble with traction. These F1's hate the cooler temps, and are borderline not safe.

At the end of the day these tires are not made to be driven in this range of temperatures which I understand, it just seems to be worse than other Summer only tires.

Yes, your car is a coupe, and it's doing what it should.

If you're in sport mode and you double tap the traction control button in Convertibles only, then you get what's called "Competition" mode. No lift shift, launch control and minimal traction control is ready, while a good part of the other nannies are off.

Still stock bro, but not for long though... looking a doing some upgrades in the spring.

How are those 888's holding up? Did you ever get over the road noise it produces? What's the wear like on them?

The R888s, in slightly narrower size, are giving me equal or a bit better traction than the 555Rs. They seem to be wearing a little faster than I would like though.

They seemed to have quieted down some. Dont notice them anynore.

I don't think that helps at all. PTM modes help but not an option in convertibles.
