Would've gotten an automatic since it'll be my dd, but manual was the only way it'd fit into my budget.

I got mine manual because nobody other than my Dad knows how to drive manual and he won't even go near my Camaro, I think he's scared of it. So that just insures nobody (AKA OLDER BROTHER) foolishly attempts to take my car out for some random spin and I get phone call it's totaled or comes back with some ugly butt-a$$ scratch on it.

Many of these posts use the words....."Sports Car".....when referencing the Camaro. "Pony Car" is accurate for sure. It is pushing it to place a Camaro in the "Sports Car" category. Wishful thinking really. Now a Corvette.....
sports car –noun a small, high-powered automobile with long, low lines, usually seating two persons. sports car n. An automobile equipped for racing, especially an aerodynamically shaped one-passenger or two-passenger vehicle having a low center of gravity and steering and suspension designed for precise control at high speeds. Pony car is an American class of automobile launched and inspired by the Ford Mustang in 1964. The term describes an affordable, compact, highly styled car with a sporty or performance-oriented image. |

When ordering my Camaro a few weeks back (which is automatic), I was listening to the Sales Manager finalize a deal with another dealership. He had a SS Manual on the floor that he was swapping for an Aqua Blue Automatic with a dealership in Atlanta. He only had four on the lot at that time (all manuals). What he told me was that most folks who wanted a manual were the enthusiasts who bought them last year. Now, manuals are getting a bit harder to move, so it was a no brainer for him to swap a manual for an automatic, which he knew he'd sell the first week on the lot.

I got a manual because to me a performance car isn't a performance car if it's an automatic..... obviously I understand certain people have issues and stuff and automatics are more practical... but it annoys me when I see dumb people who are staring at the clutch wondering what the third pedal is for....... plus stick is so much more fun!

I'm use to manual. I also like shifting AND not many people I know can drive manual. I love this because it cuts down the number people who ask to drive it.

Ordered the automatic for Remote Start and ease of driving. It's going to be a every day drive, so I'd rather not deal with shifting (if I had more money and space, i'd love to have a manual to run around in, just don't want it every day on the way to work). And it appears I can have some fun with the tap shift . . . Best of both worlds for me!!!

M6 all they way, baby!
1) Wife can't drive it and doesn't want to 2) I decide when to shift 3) More HP 4) No 4 banger at highway speed 5) Cool looking Hurst short throw 6) Daily driver is an HHR that is already a 4 banger auto at any speed |

I've been thinking about the same thing AUTO vs MANUAL???
For a 1000 bucks or so i might go with the AUTO so i can be a lazy driver when needed.
