Pull the shifter all the way down to "M" and then an 'S" will appear on your dash, you are now in sport mode.

Lol. A converter swap would knock off a solid .2-.3 or even more possibly depending on what you get. If we can be of any help let us know. We have some great budget oriented choices.

I went 13.00s at 108 MPH with Kooks 1 7/8 LT Headers, hi flow Cats, X pipe and Kooks off road mufflers and CAI CAI. Rear Tire Pressure was set at 26 psi on Stock Perilli's and NO TUNE.

Since then I have installed Bo White Ported TB and Apex Scoop with washer Relo kit. I am going to wait until the fall or winter to run at the track again. Just too Hot now in Florida for any decent ET's. A Tune will be in the works in the winter also. With the additional upgrades and Tune, I should be in the Mid to high 12's according to my racer friends. So running in the 12's is Not impossible.

Impressive gains but shows how much money and work it takes to gain a second....most dont get it....too much "fast and furious" misconception out there. Very few 11second honest street cars out there and real streetable 10 second cars are VERY rare.

Hi Angie,

Do you have a Roll Bar in your car? If you are looking to run 12's, you will need it a convertible. Rock Falls shut down a buddy of mine with a convertible after he ran 13.2's.

He does. I've seen it!

Mine is not a daily driver, but it conceivably could be.....been in the 11's for a long time. I have just over $48k in it, including the cosmetic mods and paint. Original cost was $38K. Actually not sure how fast I go now, with the new heads.....we shall see!!!!

Disclaimer: (OK...for those who know me, and know I had to swap the motor--I'm not including that cost, cause let's face it....these motors should NOT do what that one did--just don't let idiots work on it and blow the mother up)

So you CAN have a car deep into the 11's for about $10,000 more. Actually you can get pretty deep into the 10's with a Supercharger and a few other mods for not much more.

My first run with hypertech canned tune. Not sure if that did anything but I went 12.92 in 65 degree weather. In mid and high 80's I couldn't get better than 13.01 with just cold air jntake and scope. I added headers and PTB with dyno tune. I just realized I do better with everything shut off. Hold traction control down for 7 seconds. I hit 12.53 at 111.84 MPH with.076 r/t stock tires with boltons without a stall converter. Probably could knock another 4 tenths with one.
