Ivan/Camaro50 - I need your help!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So about an hour ago I left a Halloween party and was not in any condition to drive and knew it so I had my sober friend drive me in the Camaro (most of you guys know Luis - he always goes to the meets and track days with me)...Anyways, we accidentally left the scanner lights on in front and we got stopped by an Albuquerque Police officer on University and Coal (by CNM) at about 2:40 am (October 31) and he got called on an emergency in the middle of the traffic stop and kept Luis's driver's license and let us go. Ivan or Camaro5o do you have any connections in APD that can check on this for us please?? We just want to get his license back. Everyone knows how much of a hassle it is to go to MVD especially when you're a hard working college student =/

Thanks a lot! We're just a little frustrated right now!

But the important thing of course is that we chose to be safe and drive sober...hope everyone else is being safe as well!

I don't have any suggestions on how to get Luis his license back,
but here's a big

for being responsable enough to have someone else drive.

Should be alot easier getting his license back than it would have been for you if you were driving.

Yeah I got a little tired of the commute...I was actually out there on Friday night to take care of my sister's cats. Was that you I waved at at McDonalds? haha I was at the stoplight and there was a black Camaro in the drive through line and I think the passenger at least waved back

contact the non-emergency police number and see what you can do that route. if not I will see if I can talk to a friend of mine see if he can find out who the officer was.

I will give you a call, I can call dispatch and see what officer pulled you over. I will call him personally after I find that out and see if i can locate it for you

I will have to remember that....when I have mine on at night in the amber (orange) I have had a few cops coming towards me so I know they could see them, but I didn't get pulled over! Guess I was just lucky! I was just going to play dumb and say I didn't know they were on....must have hit the remote by mistake...I guess that would only work a few times!

I Drive with my blue scanner light on all the time.. Its never flashing though when I drive.. One of my cop friends said that its only really an issue if they're flashing

. I drive with the scanner light/blue fogs all the time now when it's dark enough outside to really see it!

Good man handing over the keys! I probably would have slept in my car if I had no dd lol might as well for these kind of monthly payments!!
