I would be curious as to what kind of swirl removal he's doing for $30, probably just hiding the swirls with a Glaze... If I'm doing *true* swirl removal it's going to cost you $40+hr for me to get them all out, and its generally a 3-6hr ordeal.
Clay bars are used to decontaminate the paint before polishing or waxing the paint. They can also be used to remove wax, water spots from windows and heavy contaminants like tree sap ect. Wax is purely a protectant. Its used to seal the paint after polishing, or just to help protect it from the harsh enviroments the car is exposed to. If your going to use this guy I would pass on his "swirl removal" Wash, Clay and Wax for $75 is a pretty good deal as long as he's not drying your paint with the same towel as the wheels. Just my $0.02 If you want more information about detailing, or on how to do it yourself, checkout adamspolishes.com and adamsforums.com

Be leery of anyone who list "Armorall" as part of their interior process and only charges $5.
The saying holds true - "good detailing isn't cheap, and cheap detailing isn't good" Based on the prices either the guy is very generous or not very good... based on previous experience I'd go with the ladder. In a market absolutely FLOODED with detailers here in SoCal a decent detailer will charge in the realm of $150-$250 for a basic 1 or 2 stage correction w/ assorted other processes like basic interior and exterior cleanup. Really good detailers will charge far more than that... detailing is a pay for what you get proposition. Before going with him ask to see some pictures of previous work (before and afters) get more specifics on the products and processes they use, etc. A bad or inexperienced detailer can do a lot of damage in a short time which will cost you double to fix. |

The best thing you can do is check references and/or research his process. |

also ask him how long it'll take to do the entire job.
full on paint correction with rotary done right takes 2 full days (exterior only) easily, btw... |
