Scrming Exhaust Experiment - UPDATE!

Ok, I know it been a VERY LONG time! But I just got word today. MRT has FINALLY received their order of Aero Turbine resonators and are now actually building kits!

Ok... these look a lot nicer than mine!!! LOL!

For those of you unfamiliar with my exhaust experiment this thread has all the details: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31844

Ok, quick run down... this axle back kit is completely 304 Stainless Steel, including the hangers! Also, I know some folks were looking for 4 inch tips, but for now this kit is a 3.5 inch tips.

Normal retail on the kit is going to be $499... BUT Scott is offering an introductory price of $429.

They currently don't have this up on their website yet so bet is to give MRT a call at (734) 455-5807.

Scrming,

Looks very good but.....
How come these resonators look different than yours ?......
Yours has beveled ends.
Look at the photo of yours to see what I mean.

Yep, I noticed that the first thing too!

I immediately got on the phone with Scott to double check... Yes, these genuine Aero Turbine resonators! I believe Scott uses Aero Turbine because they are 304 Stainless Steel!

As far as the differences... the Aero Turbines we used on my car we some older ones that Scott had on the shelf... Looking closely at mine I'm thinking these were used and they might not have looked that way when they were new. If you look really close at mine it appears that the inlet and outlet are different shapes... also don't know how much the camera angle has to do with it...

Looking at at some other websites looks like the new ones are slightly different... Check this:

Yes, I will put one of these kits on. I do car shows during the summer and the production version looks so much better than than the prototype I currently have on...

Just did my exhaust

Man I just did my exhaust yesterday as well. Damn if I knew they were going to have a bolt on I would have waited. All that welding heating bending was a pain in the butt. I'll have pics and vids soon I hope, think you will like what I did. Tried something different myself. Took a page out of Scrmng book and did an experiment. More to come.
