removing rear brakes to fit a 15 or 16in wheel to drag race
I know this sounds crazy but what would happen if you removed rear brakes just to race?

Yep, that's crazy alright!!! I wouldn't even consider that an option. Here's a better idea....buy some used V-6 rear brake calipers and rotors from the classified section here on Camaro5. They will bolt right up to your car....then you can bolt up 16" wheels and STILL have fully functioning rear brakes!!! To get 15's to fit, there are conversion kits available....but they're pretty expensive.

You would lose all the fluid in the rear brake lines as soon as you applied the brakes.
You asked. John B.

Wouldn't have to. It wouldn't be able to leave the garage, most likely.
