New Camaro SS/RS Finally in Holland

Hello

I am André Boer from the Netherlands

After a long wait i finally picked up my new Camaro on 14 August!

Weve located one in Massachusetts and let it came over from the States to Europe

It's a Black 2SS/RS Aut with inferno ornage interior and weve put the IOM Rally Stripes this week on it!

We will put it into our collection of cars www.dutchcorvettecollection.nl

Here some pictures from the car in front of our business, with my old original 1969 SS396 Camaro and my 1993 Camaro indy pace car.

Many greetings drom the Netherlands

André Boer

Hi Andre,

I am from the Netherlands but working in the USA. I have bought a Camaro also and will take it with me June 2011, but the big question is how can I get it registred without a wash for the Xenon headlights and without automatic headlight adjustments.

Regards
Alex Wassink

As far as I know, you will have to replace the lights to remove the xenon.
Thats what I have to do for my 2SS. I have made the appointment with the authorities to get it cleared. Thats one of the things they said needs to be done.
The other thing: to add a REAR fog light (red).

I will post the mods I had to do when importing.

Patrick

RS Headlights in Europe

You can buy a certificate from DEKRA that allows you to keep the RS headlights but you still need the wash.

I contacted the Dutch authority on this (RDW) and when you import the car as a part of your household, the wash is not mandatory and the height adjustment is also not needed. I have it on written paper and can send you a copy via PM.

I confirmed the height adjustment myself and that is not incorporated in the mail. If you want i can send you that mail but i have to get it from my computer at work.

My question is if there are no side turn signals needed in Holland??

You have an amazing collection of cars, very nice! I've been to Holland a few times on business, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Delft.
