2013 2LS PDIM questions

Hi all,

I recently purchased a 2013 2LS and didn't realize that I'd be unable to stream audio via bluetooth until after purchase. I wish I would have stumbled across this forum sooner. Does anyone have the part # for the PDIM on the 2013 model? I'd like to order it and have it installed at my dealership.

Bump for this-- I've seen quite a few P/Ns flying around for this while searching, but I haven't seen any PDIMs confirmed working in a '13 2LS. I seem to remember seeing here somewhere that the wiring changed in the '13s, anyone know anything about that?

I had messaged "quualudes" about this, who had purchased the PDIM for his '13 1LS and this was his reply:

No luck yet.. I tried again many months ago, but didn't get anywhere. No updates on http://www.vipadi.com/updates.html so it like will never happen, unless everyone prods them along

The website states:

12/06/12

Subject: Unable to Install 2013 Camaro PDIM p/n 22872777

It has come to our attention that necessary calibration to support PDIM p/n 22872777 for model year 2013 Camaro, is not available.

IMPORTANT:

At this time, do not sell or try to install PDIM p/n 22872777 on any 2013 Camaro
Once the calibration is available, PDIM p/n 22872777 will only be compatible with 2013 Camaro's equipped with UYE Radio
Catalog usage will be updated to reflect use with UYE radio only (for 2013 model year)

Another communication will be sent when the calibration becomes available for PDIM used with UYE radio.

I have a 2014 LS with Bluetooth for phone, onstar, and steering wheel controls. I would like to know if this will work in this vehicle or when it may become available. Anyone hear anything ?

Does anyone know why we can't add a PDIM to the 2013 2LS? What if I swap out the radio for an older model radio (ebay ~$70), anyone know if then we could add the PDIM harness kit(ebay ~$130)? My understanding is that this only adds the usb and allows for steering wheel control of MP3 player, but no bluetooth streaming. I researched this a few months back and I got told that Chevrolet wants to push the MyLink, that is why we couldn't. Didn't make sense, since they still didn't give us 2LS' a way to upgrade anything.

Guys......even if you get the PDIM to add the USB ....... you still will not be able to stream music via Bluetooth from your phones. Its just not part of the systems capabilities.
