In addition to performance, our intake offers you the ability to customize to your tastes or match the theme you have under the hood. With tons of Camaros out there it's nice to pop the hood and have something a little different than the guy next to you.
A reasonable and professional response. Kudos.

interesting but the question is....would the rotofab intake get the same resoult on a ss? an s7 with heads cam and oher thing means a lot of air needed.. so the stock air intake would be a bottleneck
an other thing i saw is the fact that there is no power/torque showed on the graph under 3500rpm which it's almost the half of the rpm range. also it seems that the stock is a bit better below . to give a better opinion i should see the all graph.

in any case thanks for the update

Mine gets here Thursday! (well, I must take a slight detour because of that crazy CA, no compliance thing)

I think if you look at the difference in design between the two, the Roto-Fab seals off, from the rest of the engine compartment a lot better than the Z-28 intake. Look at the picture in post #16 along the right (drivers side of the engine compartment) side of the photo and you'll notice that the Z-28 intake does not seal off against the fender wall, allowing hot air from the engine compartment to be sucked in. That is your 4 HP right there.

That said, if you think that 4 HP is making a difference, you are probably just trying to find some excuse to justify why you lost the race. Trust me, it wasn't the CAI.

Aesthetically, I think it really is a matter of personal preference, I personally like the look of the Roto-Fab, but I can see where some may prefer the stock-ish look of the Z-28 Intake.

Rotofab is awesome. I had it before the Vararam and I'm not sure the Vararam is any good. Seems very similar.

I can't remember who the member was that bought a z/28 cai a few years ago for an SS. He dynoed the car before and after. I recall the Z/28 cai had gains higher then any other cai on the market at that time . It was snubbed tho because the vendors on here didn't sell it at then.

I chose the Z28 unit mainly because of the factory appearance. I am more than willing to give up 4hp in order to maintain the factory look. Just me though.
