Ported TB & Intake Tune Question
I am just getting into mods for the car as I picked it up in February and then Covid came around and I had to allocate my funds elsewhere.
I recently won a raffle for a Ported Stock Throttle Body and Ported Stock Intake Manifold. They were ported by Pray Performance. I have a few questions regarding adding these to my stock A8 2016 SS. What CAI would pair best with this setup? Is the GM Performance CAI and GM time worth getting for this setup? Do I even need a tune for these parts as they are ported stock parts? I’m impatient and would love to add some simple items while waiting for my tune required parts together (Long tubes, E85, Etc.) |

Congrats. Awesome win. Pray Performance typically recommends the Roto-Fab CAI for best gains. Most people go with the dry paper filter rather than the oiled cloth filter. Your call on whether you want to keep or delete the sound tube. A tune isn’t required for these modifications. Save your money for the tune after the bigger changes as you planned.

The Roto-fab is a great CAI option for any 6th Gen Camaro! Our larger filter and proprietary development methods ensure you are getting the best CAI possible for your car.

JLT or Rotofab.
You would need a tune with the JLT. |
