It would be interesting. They both have I think around the same hp, and they both seem to be packed with technology, but I'd have to go with the gtr just because its lighter. But, as stated before, I'd like to be surprised.

ZL1 might have a chance against the 2007-2011 cars since they run mid/high 11's. There's no chance against the 2012+ cars because they run low 11's. 0-60 times are anywhere between 2.9 and 3.5.

The ZL1 will probably be slightly faster than the GT-R on a road course.

Not a 2012. They are monsters. Then run low 11's and lap fast.

The older ones will outperform a zl1 but it would not take much to run with one.

But it really shouldn't 95k vs 55k

Awd cars are pretty beastly in general...think about lambos, porsche turbos and even the european spec audi ttrs and r8. The gtr will smoke a zl1 even tho it has a little less HP & torque it's lighter and puts the power down very well. I wouldnt even try to race one without any mods. Sometimes you gotta know when to retreat and when to fight!

For sure it would get smoked if it were stock. The GTR's acceleration is absolutely brutal. Ok so what upgrades would the ZL1 need to keep up with/beat the GTR? GTR's, like stated above, run anywhere from 11.0-11.8 depending on the year. I want to beat the new GTR (Neighbor has one). So what would I have to do to get the ZL1 down to a reliable 11 second car? Pulley, Headers, Intake, Tune?

You don`t even need a ZL1, I have an SS w/ nothing more than headers, exhaust, CAI, tune, Whipple blower at 9lbs and a set of tires and wheels, 3:70gears, oh, and of course a tune. 10.84@126.7. All for 46k total including the car price, I did the work myself w/ a few friends w/ the exception of the tune. Now on a roadcourse the GTR would be faster. At the dragstrip even the 2012 GTR would see my tail lights. So Zl1 w/ pulley change, headers, drag radials & tune should be close in the 1/4.

Bolt on best before blower 12.22@113.29 w/ nothing but ARH headers, catted x-pipe, ADM CAI and a tune on stock Pzero`s!

Other car 2008 C6 Ls3, z51, A6, Npp Exhaust, best bonestock pass 11.80@118.82, Number 2 on the Corvette Forums Bonestock fastest list..
