2013 Special Editions? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I've been a regular reader of these forums since I began researching the purchase of a 2012 Camaro. Thanks to all who take the time to post such great info (otherwise I might already have bought a leftover 2011 vert and been unhappy).

That being said, I'm now torn between buying one of the following:

2012 TF3 Coupe
2012 SS Vert (once it's proven the fixes are coming off the line with no more issues)
2013 SS Special Edition (once announced)

Which leads me to my question. I've read the recent posts on here about the sooner than expected start to 2013 production, and I'm wondering when the 2013 SE's might be announced (and if it will include a TF version)?

I don't want to pull the trigger on something in April and find out something I'd rather have is announced a month later. (Though living in N.Illinois, I don't want to wait too long and waste prime driving months.)

I don't see another TF Edition, without there being a movie released first. There would be nothing to base it off of.

They stopped production on the TF edition January 5th I believe. They are done making it.

I hate having info I can't share. But 2013 is going to be good for Camaro!

Yeah, I kind of figured this was it for TF's but am curious what might be next as far as SE's. I'd love a ZL1, but that price point is starting to get higher than what I would want to spend.

Would love a Z28, if it wasn't quite to the ZL1 level (spec-wise and price-wise).

Bottom line is I want to finally get back into the Camaro family after selling my white 1990 years ago to help us buy our first house (and remove Buick Regal from my listed "car" in this forum).

But I don't want to regret my decision 1 month later. My wife would kill me, even though she's used to me doing that kind of stuff.

I'm probably going to be ordering a 2013. Really looking forward to whatever news comes out! Hopefully it comes out within the next month or so too lol
