Camaro Exterior Care! A little advice from the vets please

Hey guys,

I am trying to figure out what is the best wax/ etc for the car. I have the summit white with powder coated rims that I also intend to wax. WHat I want to make sure is that I do it right and find something that will help make it easy to wash while also preserving the paint's luster. I don't have a garage at this point sooooo it does sit outside.

Thoughts please!

Check out Adam's products. I'm sure they'll chime in soon. I don't use their products yet (using the rest of my other stuff first) but a LOT of people here use them and I've heard nothing but good. www.adamspolishes.com

Everyone has a favorite, mine is Mother's California Gold. I use the paste wax in a can initially, then I use the spray bottle version for touch ups.

You heard right. Every product I've gotten from them has exceeded my expectations, and I'm very picky.

Depends on how much you want to spend, but Adam's is awesome!

It's not so much what you use. It's how you use what you have. Read up and follow the common denominators, 2 bucket wash, touch paint as little as possible, etc. and you'll have a winner. Good luck.
This thread will be moved soon is what I think the ibtaha is all about.

I use The Wizard Professional Detailer for in between washes and after drives when it gets dusty or buggy. Other than that I use all Car Brite waxes and products. Used them for years and have never been disappointed in the results.

Use Mother's products here as well, mainly 'California Gold' wax, works really well. Also use some Meguiars stuff as well, mostly the 'Quik Detailer' for cleaning the ride up between waxes. The Adam's 'Detail Spray' works well too

Check out the Cosmetic Maintenance: Washing, Waxing, Detailing, Bodywork, Protection forum for a lot of info.

You'll mostly find recommendations for Adam's and Zaino with a smattering of Meguiars and some other products.

I'm an Adam's Convert myself, though Zaino does produce very nice results albeit in a different way.

Everyone is going to have their own "favorites" so just stick to the known brands (Mothers, Meguiars, Adam's.. etc.) Personally I use Meguiars ultimate series products (wax, spray detailer and spray wax) and have never had a problem on a BLACK car... white should be nearly effortless.
