Value of RS versus NON RS ? Dollars & Pleasure
The RS package is about $1600 more list and $1400 cost for the Convertibles I am looking at. Will I get all or most of the extra $1400 back when I sell it in 3 or 4 years?
I'm sure it is way more pleasurable to drive & look at What are some of your opinions? Thanks |

No. RS is a factor but its all about mileage and condition imo. Color is important along with
add on options like sunroof, auto, etc but overall nothing beats condition. Also, no goofy mods.

Not really. Average prices are mainly driven off of year, mileage and condition. I would figure the RS package 3 years later may get you a couple hundred more than one without unless you have a specific buyer.

I really think the rs package is a waste of money and on the 14 and up the camaro looks better without to me. I can't stand the cheap looking walmart chrome strip that is on the nose. Don't expect it to mean much on a trade in.

I considered the RS package and then I realized everyone but me could see those halos and my roof ditches and badges.

Those '14+ RS tail lights are a big improvement over the base, though. IMO

The RS package is awesome.
Don't let the haters tell you otherwise. Most peeps here who don't get the RS package end up send $$$$ to upgrade with aftermarket.

The RS package was nothing but perfect on my 45th. But if they don't get rid of that chrome strip, there is little chance that I will trade up to the 50th edition.

Correct, RS on a v6 was worth it. 20in wheels and hid headlights are awesome upgrades.

Most of it is eye-pleasing... (roof ditch molding body color/darker tail lights/darker rims/more but I cant think of them) but those HIDs man... Dealbreaker, IMHO...
My original 2011 1LT was a non-RS. Outside of other regrets... not getting it in 1LT/RS was also one of them. Just IMHO, though. |

the rs/ non rs option is one of few options add value.. im a non rs and love it.. you get zero value on special editions, anniversary etc.. sucks..
