Very good point ... and actually that was what I was after. It's all relative, so I was looking for opinions based upon everyone’s personal experience and comparison of insurance companies as they change.

Some have a few tickets but get a better rate from one co. vs. another.

Some live is the city but get a better rate from one co. vs. another.

Some commute many miles but get a better rate from one co. vs. another.

It's the one co. vs. another I am interested in.

Wonder also if some deliberately get home and auto from the same co. to gain the added discount?

just wait until you get older. I have liability on my Volvo and full coverage with low deductibles and high coverage on the Camaro for $75 a month (no tickets, multi car discount, safe driver discount, etc.)

24 years old, 126 Canadian a month. It'll drop down to around 70 in March, and again down to 60 in May. That, my friends, brought a smile to my face!

As already said above, no one can tell you except for the insurance company. There are way too many variables for anyone here to give you an estimate.

I would suggest calling a number of insurance companies for a quote. That's what I did when I was 22 and had my 1985 Camaro. That was 22 years ago and I am still with the same company/agent (Allstate).

Unfortunately, Camaros and Mustangs have a very high rate of accidents, speeding tickets given and thefts according to the actuaries...now, when you turn 25 and get married your insurance rates will drop significantly (provided your driving record is clean)...until then, there isn't much hope for lower rates, the statistics are against you!
Do be careful, some insurance companies will give you a lower rate, but then your compensation in the event of an accident (i.e. collision) will be less and/or your deductible will be very high...there's no getting around this. You could get your car placed under a parent, etc., but then their insurance would go up. And they would still know that a young person in the family could possibly drive the Camaro and would make it very expensive.

I have a 17 year old driver in the family. The insurance agent put her as the driver of the least expensive car to insure, but she is still covered on any car we own.

You would think the 2011 might be cheaper since they would have more data.

You have an SS or an LT?

Thats very reasonable IMO. I asked my father about his insurance on the Escape/Ridgeline and he pays about $360 for both vehicles every 6 months. A total of $1400 a year for two vehicles. So for one vehicle thats about $700/year. If thats all it will cost I will be very happy.

I work for an insurance company and we do not allow a resident child to put their car on the parnets policy unless the parnets name is on the title. You cannot insure what you do not own. There has to be at least one name that is on both the policy and the title.

You need to check with your insurance company as different companies have different rules, but no matter what-- do not lie to them. I work in claims and if a lie is discovered on the application "material misrepresentation" we can cancel the policy and refund the money and you would have no coverage at all.

Never would I lie for something like this, the trouble is just not worth it. It will be interesting to see whose name ends up on the title. I will be making the majority of the payments but my father seems convinced he will have to co-sign for the auto loan.

I am 47 and look/act 35. Anyway, my driving record is perfect. With E-Surance I pay $1300 a year, which I think SUCKS. But I live in GURNEE ILLINOIS where RETARDS LIVE.
