Who has put the pedal to the metal?

So, I just got my 2LT on Friday, and I'm trying to take it easy on mine to give it a smooth break-in, as the owners manual says to do.

I'd like to hear from some of the people who have really pushed their V6s hard. As in, turned off the TC and Stabilitrack and gunned it off the line, or kicked it down a gear at 40mph to blow past a Mustang. Does it throw you back in your seat? Can you lay a nice rubber patch down on the street? Does the sport mode vs. regular drive (on the auto tranny) make a big difference in acceleration?

I've read all the reviews, but I'm hoping to hear some experiences from those who drive this car everyday!

I love my car but I find it hard to believe that you had no trouble at all with a 350z or S2000... especially a modded turbo S2000.

Anyways back to subject..... I took mine to 140 after 1500 miles on a completely empty stretch of highway at 3 in the morning.

I see you drive a Mustang but I don't see you have ordered a Camaro.
So are you here just to keep it real or what?

Im a fan mostly, but I know BS when I read it. A properly driven stock S2000 should still overpower a v6 Camaro.

I'm a Camaro lover and have a 2SS ordered. I'm gonna throw it out there right now. He didn't effortlessly beat a modded 350Z or a turbo charged S2000. Let's be honest guys, he is asking for real life stories not someone to blow smoke up his ass.

Go online and check the 0-60 specs on the 2004 S2000 it's about 4 second slower than the Camaro and the 2009 is about 1 second slower. I checked it a few weeks ago because my brother in-law has one and I wanted to know where I stood. This guy said that he had some exhaust work done for a gain of 20 extra HP. In my opinion and with the facts presented I think a Camaro LT can take a stock S2000

"Fortunately, the S2000 now accelerates quicker. It pulls to 100 mph in 15.10 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds quicker than before. And there's also an improvement in roll-on acceleration, the kind of performance you feel on the street, because it accelerates 0.18 seconds quicker to 70 mph from 50 mph. Before the clutch went, we also measured a 0-to-60-mph time of 6.4 seconds and a quarter-mile run of 14.4 seconds at 97.2 mph, which are also quicker." You're going to confuse people by posting facts!

This car being so new and all... alot of people still don't know what they are looking at. I've had my share of speedracers gun their engines at me but for the most part, other drivers just seem to still be in the "Shock and Awe" phase. You can easily type up 2010 camaro in a search engine and get some quick specs about the 1lt/2lt or 1ss/2ss but the rs package and badging on the LTs might confuse some drivers. They probably just backed off or thought Ryan's car was more powerful than it actually is. Since Ryan didn't specify what kind of racing he was doing, I'm gonna guess it was quickie street stuff (which most ppl know they excel at). The V6 version is more bark than bite till you bolt on some mods. Before I get flamed... I FREAKING LOVE MY RIDE!!!! It is fast for a v6 and imo is freaking sick as hell looking and rides so smooth. If I was offered a tricked out ricer for my camaro, I'd laugh.

I agree... but ryan said his opponents where anything but stock. A S2000 is like 1K lbs lighter and if it was modded out it should a LT a decent fight.

Well in that case we have some none driving fools
or they must have just slow down enough to enjoy a masterpiece of automotive design passed them by. Either way a win is a win
