How Bad is our paint
I am by no means a professional detailer. But I'm not a novice either. I have noticed in between my 2 month full detail (wash, clay bar, polish, wax) that I have serious scratches near the back wheel well. I never hit anything and I am wondering if these where rocks. (streaking scratches not circle like scratch from dirt in mits) I wash, clay bar and wax every week but now I am feeling like this is useless if this paint scratches that easily. It may be my wax (griots garage showroom) any suggestions?

Our paint seems to scratch pretty easily imo, it's not necessarily bad paint though, just a characteristic.

How are you washing? How are you drying? What type of towels do you use?
This paint is perfectly fine if you use proper technique and quality wash media and towels.

I pre wash with a spray of water, then I use a foam gun to go over that. Then I spray it off to get the large loos dirt off. I then hit it again with a spray of foam and then I go over board with the amount of buckets I use. I use pairs. Soap and cleaning water. about 5 pairs. Seperate mits for each bucket (lamb wool mits) One pair is for the roof one is for the hood one is for the truck and one for the top sides and one for the bottom sides. I dry with a air force blower. I clay bar with griot's garage bar and speed shine, I break out my porter cable and use machine polish 3 or 4 to finish. Griots garage towels are used to remove that and then back over with either their one time sealent when polished, or their showroom wax when no polish. The Scratches I am talking about look like as if someone side swiped my rear driver side wheel well. But they are so minute and small it looks like it may also be dirt thrown from the wheels. These aren't washing scratches I know that.

Ya I am just like... well hell. So Now I am debating how to go about touching these up. a few are just enough you can feel your fingernail sink in and I am just pissed. But you have to look for them to see them.
