Posted this in the issues form with a video.

So was heading back from the store a little while ago and went to pass a truck and suddenly lost power. The car is shaking and the RPMs are not stable. It also smells like gas as if the car is running rich. I let the car sit for a while and tried starting it again and it took almost 5 seconds for it to turn over and barely did so. I took the car to auto zone and had them pull the error codes. It is throwing code P0089. It was also showing misfire on cylinders 1,3,5. Trying to do some research on the code and all I am getting is fuel rail pressure regulator. Anybody ever have something like this happen? I was able to get it home ok but with lots of hesitation and surging. Not good as this is my only mode of transportation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to fix this myself as I am at 51000 miles and the dealer will charge me out the butt.

Odd. with an engine misfire the check engine light should be blinking. steady on is supposed to indicate an emissions problem

yea when it first happened the light came on blinking then went solid. Parked in the driveway and same thing, blinking then solid. Even more weird is I let it sit for a few hours and now it is running normal. Took it out and did some hard pulls and seems to be fine.

I would check the wiring to the left bank ignition coils for either poor connection or damage wires. Intermittent problems are usually caused by wiring issues.

I mean this respectfully doesn't your car still have some warranty left so they can look at it before paying out the nose. Personally if it was me find a honest dealer you can trust and have them look at it. Best of luck resolving your problem.

That's what I am thinking. It should be 5yrs 100000 on the powertrain.

This, squirrels love chewing wires.

I would say since it cleared it may be a MAF sensor issue - these are known to be super sensitive on these cars
