Those motors were only in the IROC-Z and Z-28 models, not the base model V8. You gotta compare apples to apples. You don't see Mustang guys comparing the GT500 to the Camaro SS and saying that proves Mustangs are faster than Camaros.

LOL. Your going to compare a gt 500 vs a ss, to a 350tpi motor to a mustang 5.0. LOLOLOLOLOL.

It was like a 30hp difference between the 305 and 350 tpi motors.

Why wouldnt you compare a mustang gt against a z28?

You would rather compare the RS or LT v8 to the GT?

Are you this dense?

I compared the equivalent models from the 3rd Gen, and the 5.0s were faster than the equivalent Camaro. Of course if you UPGRADED to get a Z-28 or an IROC-Z the Camaro was faster.

If you want parity in the 3rd Gens, you would compare the Z-28s and the IROCs to the SVT Cobra, not to the base model 5.0.

Where in the world did I say to compare the GT to the RS or the LT??? I'll straight up admit that the 5th Gen Camaro SS is faster than the 5th Gen Mustang GT. But to say the Camaros beat the Mustangs EVERY Generation is flat out false.

How about comparing the 93 Mustang GT to the RS/Z28 that was equipped with the 305 and comparing the 1993 Mustang Cobra to the Z28 that had the 5.7L? The higher end Z28 was more comparable to the Mustang Cobra then, they were the best Mustang out at the time and the best Camaro as well.

Are you dense. The RS and LT got the TBI junk motors. Third gen comparo here? Your saying compare those against the 5.0 gt.

A z28 goes against a GT plain and simple. 350 or not.

1993 didnt have an rs camaro, nor a 305.

They had the lt1 and a 3.4 v6.

It's not my fault Chevy put those crappy motors in their Camaros and you had to upgrade to a higher trim package to get a good engine. Look at it this way, what would you compare the RS to? The 4-banger Mustangs? Get real.

The Mustang was the faster car, apples to apples, in the 3rd Gen. I freely admit the Camaros were the faster ones in the 4th and 5th Gens though.

Yeah, my bad. The Cobra didn't make a reappearance until 1993. There were a couple of years there that I remember now. If you didn't have some mods done to your 5.0 Mustang, you couldn't touch an IROC with the 5.7. The 5.0 IROC's and RS's weren't fairing quite as well against the Mustang 5.0 on the streets but the 350 equipped Z28 was a bad Jose.

LOL whatever. Kind of like a gt500...except it cost $15k more.

Its common place that a z28 gets paired up with a gt mustang. If you dont understand that, then thats on your education system.

Anyways, its not my fault your mustang still loses to a 17yr old z28. I guess you should of upgraded to a higher trim package to beat a 1990 z28 huh?

Excatly. the new gt500 costing 15k more than a 2010 SS runs a 12.8 in the 1/4 when the SS runs 12.9. Ill keep my 15 k thank you.

Year after year Camaros have more STOCK horsepower than Mustangs. Like I said Mustangs what a joke!
