Stock traxxas A-arms suck. I've launched my Mini E-Revo 100+ feet and the RPM ones don't break lol

The 21" flat bottom has been clocked at 56mph. Took out the 1.5cc engine and dropped in a 3.5cc. A bit unstable but really fun on the right water.

I've got a yokomo MR4-TC SD chassis that's a few years old. Sadly the diff's are toast so it won't even drift well. Plus he battery has kind of crapped out and the brush less engine I had got fried somehow. Maybe if I cab find parts for it again I'll fix it.

Put some shims in the diff. Happens all the time to the Mini E-Revos

Took the diff apart and the spacers were causing it to slip. Took them off and now its essentially a solid diff in the rear. But I actually found a place that still has old ball diffs for my car so I ordered one and a new spur gear hub. Some how I lost the set screw for the current one. Need some clear weather and clean street now!

This thread got me looking for parts for my car and I now have parts shipping to me from the UK, Hong Kong, Minnesota (got really lucky with that one) and I got stuff from Japan last week
Global effort to get the car running again! Lol thankfully just with the differential and spur gear hub I got last week it ran and slid around on the carpet but I need a new battery and motor set up to really get it to slide around.

What do you guys recommend as a starting RC for a 9-year old? Growing up I had all kinds of RC buggys and currently still have an RC10 that I play around with occasionally. My kids have the Toys-R-Us type RC cars but they are garbage. Was looking at an ECX 1/18th scale Ruckus RTR kit. Is that too much for them, or a good place to start? No tracks around here, just streets, parking lots, and construction sites.

..I started w/ Traxxas Rustler for my 1rt hobby grade R/C, plenty available/upgradeable parts to your liking. Plenty fast out of the box 20mph+.
