I love the look of tiles, you cannot get that look with smelly epoxy. I want flexible vinyl interlocking tiles though not the squeaky polypropylene plastic tiles. Where can you get the vinyl tiles?

Duragrid (division of parent company that owns RaceDeck) makes flexible interlocking tiles but the problem is that they don't have the weight bearing capacity needed for use in a garage.

RaceDeck!
Have it in my store and garage.
VERY durable and sand grit does not get between it, or not very much.
Have had it in my stores service area for 6-7 years, high traffic (foot) gets greasey, yet cleans up really good.
Floor was to bad for epoxy.

I have had no luck finding the vinyl tiles in the colors that I would want for the garage. So I have decided to go with black n grey 18x18 or 24x24 porceline tiles not ceramic. With no grout lines, that way I will keep it tight. Just waiting for the floor guy to bring me samples. Hey the floor will be there for ever. lol

Can you jack on tiles as well as place a car on stands? Wont the weight of the car and the narrowness of the stands sink into the tiles and ruin them?

http://www.rubberflooringinc.com/gar...ond-plate.html Description - The diamond plate design is one of the best floor tile patterns available and our most popular pattern for use as a garage flooring. It not only has tough appearance for use in heavy duty commercial / industrial / work shop settings, it also provides for a non slip surface in case the flooring is spilled on and/or gets wet by water, oil, or other liquids. Cutting of these tiles to custom fit them to your room can be easily done with a fresh utility knife and straight edge like a yard stick or ruler. Material – Constructed entirely of a proprietary and durable blend of flexible PVC. This blend ensures that the tiles are flexible and have the anti fatigue qualities similar to rubber flooring but also the durability, long life, and chemical resistance associated with polyvinyl chloride.

I would like to use an epoxy but it looks like the former owner jerkoffs that built my garage didn't use a vapor barrier under the floor. When it gets really humid or rains a lot the floor gets fairly wet, seeping up through the ground.. Won't this cause the epoxy to pop off?

I happen to sell RaceDeck flooring on the side if anyone is interested.

I do it for my Corvette Club.

Thanks,

I use a piece of plywood under my jack if I use a jack. Most of time I use my raceramps with no problems at all. When I had the camaro on jack stands I made a 12x12 inch piece of plywood to sit under the stands since they have very sharp edges.
