dude, there are questions to be asked before you swallow it whole.
V-Max has a video of the before and after dyno pulls with their p&p TB. They made 9hp and 11tq to the wheels. You can see the video on YouTube. I saw one BBK video a while back with a dyno run of their TB. But sometimes BBK videos are more like commercials with the intent to sell their product as opposed to being factual and informative...IMO. And a lot of times they group several different mods together instead of one particular mod. But I see how my question gave the wrong idea. I wasn't taking it as fact, I was asking if the gains were true and comparable to V-Max's proven gains. I just phrased it wrong.

everything is a sales job!

either way, i'd like to see a head to head between the bbk and the vmax.

Vmax claims no need to tune for a TB resize so it is still a 90mm??
BBK is 95mm so you would want to tune the car so it will idle properly.

Discussion on this?

Also If bbk says its a 95mm tb then is there any modifications needed for the intake? Does it need opening up? Or is the outside diameter "95mm" and then shrinks back to a 90mm? If that's the case what is the point?

Further discussion topics lol

Naa I'm a pesamist lol

I believe in tunes, certain CAI's, long tube headers, med/big cams, cylinder heads and gears!

The rest are gimmicks lol.

I saw these several months ago but opted just to send my intake and TB off to be ported for cheaper than the BBK TB. I think it was around 300.00 for both ported.

I thought factory intake was 95mm?

As for the reason I want this one over the vmax right now is mostly because I don't want a polished part. If air truly flows better over rough machined surfaces, then why does vmax polish their throttle bodies?

I'm not the authority on this, but I think it mainly depends on the type of engine. I believe some engines make more power with turbulent air while other engines make more power with smoother airflow...

They started testing them almost 2 years ago. If there was a problem, it would have come to the surface by now. I don't think they are putting the focus on advertising the GM line as much as they do the Mustang stuff because that is their primary market. I'm sure it doesn't help that their production facility isn't that large and they make a TON of stuff.

When BBK was formed, it was for the Mustang. They are trying to branch out, it is just going slower than they would like, mostly due to the economy. Where it's just a TB (no electronics), I can't see it having an issue. It uses all the factory electronics.

Would this require a retune? Wonder if it would make any noticeable difference going from the Vmax to this?

...and if they were such a bangin product then maybe BBK would be the company instead of Rx/VMax having weeks long waiting lines for their TBs.

Just an observation.
