SS to run like a ZL1?

Have opportunity to buy a 2012 45th Anniversary SS, with a SLP 575 HP Supercharger already on it, otherwise stock.
I really like the 45th Edition because of the full leather seats and charcoal metallic paint, but it doesn't seem to come close of having the torque and pull of a ZL1.
If I spend another 8 to 10 K I can get into a ZL1.
I'm looking for everyone's opinion on what it would take to make the 45th Anniversary Edition to move like a ZL1?
What is the common consensus of what mods to add on top of the existing supercharger?
And ballpark figures of can it be done for less than 8k?
Thanks Everyone, I'm a newbie with this.
This is what car has, otherwise stock.

And someone else said "just buy the ZL1 if I can, The main problem with that is, can't find one with the color and low miles, I have come close but they're 15k more and the 10k mentioned earlier is really stretching it for me to do all at once.

ZL1 -- more than just the engine -- diff, trans, suspension, so much more -- take it from someone who's done it all on an 11 2SS. I love what I've done and wouldn't change it, but for others, you get so much more with the ZL1 than just the supercharger...

Just keep looking, they are out there...

My SS should kill a ZL1 when done yet buying a ZL1 would have been much cheaper. Personally with all these storms and flooding I would keep my eyes glued to the insurance / auto auctions for a sweet deal.

Problem with flooded cars they can run and appear excellent but down the road internal erosion of components can cause extreme issues with mechanical and electrical components

You can add some power with pulley change, headers, good tune, some one can probably answer better than I can what hp you could expect but it definitely would wake the car up, then to plant the new hp I would add trailing arms, toe rods at first then down the line addpoly rear subframe bushings(the last really made my vert handle better)

Hard to beat the used ZL1 prices. As mentioned...you get the stronger diff, axles, driveshaft, tranny, clutch....not to mention engine internals, heads...wheels, suspension.

The ZL1 is a serious machine.

All that being said...can an SS be built to run with (and best) a ZL1??? Sure it can. But you'll have WAY more $$ into it.

I am also in the club of modding up the SS, but not as much as others, it is still a no brainer to get the ZL1, unless of course they did not make the ZL1 in the color you wanted.

And about price of mods, the car is already equipped with the most expense part the sc, pulley is 150 dollors , then long tube headers are probably 900 to 1300 range, and then a tune is around 500 to 750, this is if you do your own install though, either choice you can't go wrong in my opinion

An SLP575 SS has just as much torque and pull as a ZL1. If you got a ZL1 the advantage is the stronger drivetrain and mag-ride suspension. That only starts to matter when you crank it up to over 600whp.

Or sell the blower and put that money along with the money you didn't spend on headers towards twins.

I've been seeing really decent 5th gen SS's for $18k. Starting with a M6 car you could have a 750whp roll race killer car for $26,000ish.
Or build a 10sec auto car for about the same.

But if you wanted a 1000whp type car then starting with a ZL1 is the way to go.
