Thanks. No LS3, just full exhaust/intake/tune. Put down 411 on Mustang dyno, ran 13.1 in the 1/4. Granted, I'm a crappy driver, lol. Launch needs a lot of work, kills my 60' every time.

Dumb question alert:

I know 'D' and 'M' modes.....Thought 'M' mode is called Sports mode.

Do V8 models have 3 modes?

Again it is sport mode until you use the paddles the first time after shifting to M, then it will be in manual mode.
All automatics have that ability except the 2LS.

Shifter in "M" position puts car in "S" mode, as indicated in the DIC. Tap a shifter to activate "M" mode from "S" mode.

Both (especially the road track)... turning the wheel back and forth and hitting buttons that swap sides is pretty tough.

Unless, of course, you have one of those cool shifters.

<<<This guy happens to have some cool shifters.

Proper racing posture (9 and 3) will also help keep track of your paddles.

After 25+ years driving a stick shift in DC area's infamous traffic, I LOVE the 6 spd automatic. No clutch, it's the best of both worlds. I use Manual mode all the time!

This is a random question but hopefully you guys can answer. If I'm already driving could I still shift into manual mode and then drop a gear without hurting my car? Or, should I be stopped and press the break before I shift into anything?

yes you can go into manual mode on the move.
when in S just tapshift to go into manual mode and it will up or down shift from the gear it was in S mode.
the PCM will not allow you to manually downshift into a gear that will overrev the engine.
to go back into S mode on the move, just hold the up tapshift for a few seconds.
