Finding garage open???
The last 3 days we keep finding the garage door wide open and nobody opened it. Two nights ago apparently it stayed open all night. Tonight I was going in and out of the garage for an hour using my chop saw and the garage was closed and my wife never left the living room....then she goes out to the garage to do laundry and its wide open again. Is somebody trying to steal my Camaro? 3 days ago the bolt from the garage door opener arm to the door itself came off....i was pressing the button and nothing happened....came into the garage and found the bolt fell out and the arm was moving back and fourth when you press the button not attached to the garage door anymore. I just put the bolt back in and it worked again....but ever since we keep finding the garage open. Whats going on?

if someone wanted to steal your camaro, i think it wouldve been gone by now However maybe its just the garage door opener needs to replaced. I sure hope its not someone trying to steal your car

Something going on with the door itself.....had it going on at another house I owned and it freaked me out. Adjustments on the motor got this worked out. If in doubt, give a buzz to the door guy and have them take a look at it for ya.

Maybe your camaro is a transformer and it's sneaking out for a joyride?

You might have a neighbor with a new garage door opener that is on the same code as yours. That won't explain the arm bolt "falling off" but might be why it's open. Try disconnecting the arm from the opener when you put the car to bed for the night (to disable the auto opener) and manually lock the door from the inside. If it still happens, get a camera and a 12 gauge :-)

this was my guess.....as I have seen this happen before......in fact there was a case of some theives in my towm where they were trooling neighborhoods with a garage door remote going up and down streets till they found a house that it wrked on....then would come back later and rob them. Thats why most garage door opener makers have have gone to ROLLING CODE openers.

Change the code switch settings within the door motor and then your entry pin. That should help.

Do you watch it until its all the way down and stopped? Sometimes, when you have the downward travel adjusted too long, it will tap the concrete and (thinking it has hit an obstacle) reverse and go all the way back open. I have Craftsman chain-drive openers and they occasionally get out of adjustment and this happens...
To check, just open and close it several times and see if it reverses or if there is a thud when it hits the concrete floor.
