In my opinion, GM absolutely nailed this Z/28. The original Z/28 was built for track racing and track racing only. In order for it to race, they had to sell them to the public. Just because GM started adding more and more amenities to the Z/28 doesn't mean they belong in it. The Z/28 is a pure car. It isn't for everyone. It's for a very limited group. The ZL1 is for a lot more owners. It is the high performance Camaro that has all the comfort goodies. If you had read the original discussions in the Z/28 forum before the reveal, this car is everything we had talked about and more. It met our wants and desires. If you never made it into those forums and discussions, then this Z/28 probably isn't for you. If you thing GM made a mistake, this Z/28 isn't for you and that's OK because this car is very extreme and that's how I wanted it. Now, if I could just afford it, that would be even better. |
