Quieter system than stock mufflers with LT's?

Anyone have any luck with anything quieter than the stock mufflers with LT's? I installed the Kook's 1-7/8" long tubes with cats and left the stock catback in place. I love the sound under part throttle and cruising because there is absolutely zero drone but when I floor it, it sounds like glasspacks on a truck to me. I was wondering if anyone is running long tubes with the Dynomax catback - it seems quiet from their sound clip. Or is anyone running another catback that is actually quieter than the stock?

Magnaflow Street 2.5 Catback. That's about as quiet as it gets. You'll get a beautiful sound at WOT and a quiet cruise.

I honestly don't know of any catback exhaust that is quieter than the Magnaflow Street 2.5 catback.

I have Kook's 1 7/8 Headers and Magaflow Street 2.5 catback and I love the sound.

Without Longtubes the Magnaflow Street is ridiculously quiet.

Thanks, hey do you get any drone - I absolutely despise drone, it drives me crazy. And would the street axle-back be as quiet as the entire street cat-back or no?

As a secondary question. Have you heard this system in 3" with catback?

I have 1 3/4 Dynatech's with HF cats, OEM H-pipes and 2 1/2 Magnaflow street axle back and it is very tame. From my Kooks LT's and Corsa cat back on my SRT8 jeep this set up is down right quiet. I know the comparison is apples to oranges, but my current set up is perfect for a conservative DD.

Edit, and she made 412 whp...

I don't think the axle back will be as quiet as the full catback. The full catback has the two mufflers plus the resonated X pipe.

About drone. The only drone I get (I call it drone because its a consant noise) is up close to 80-85 mph (A6) or so and its not bad at all.

At normal cruise speeds (55-75 mph with the cruise control on) I don't notice any drone (its pretty quiet).

I don't believe Magnaflow has this exact setup (2 mufflers combined with a resonated X pipe) in a 3'' catback.

I'm putting a Borla Touring exhaust on with my Kooks LT catted headers next week. I also don't want to be too loud. I'll let you know how that sounds after it's installed.

I put this on and it was ridiculous quiet. It wasn't quieter than stock though.

I put on a true xpipe, and now it resembles the 16583 i think.

If the stock is too loud, I don't know what to tell you.

Thanks for all the replies. The stock exhaust would be perfect but it's just when I floor it, it sounds like it has glass packs and pops a lot (not talking about the decel popping here) - it's a great tone, just not clean. Not really that it is too loud - I could deal with the sound level if it was a smooth, clean tone. And under normal driving I can hardly hear it and highway speeds it is super quiet. Hard to explain it, but that is the best I can do. Just needs a little refinement now to account for the headers opening everything up.

Then the 16579 is what you need.
