E-mail from Dealer today: Last Day to Make Changes Jan 5th

Got an e-mail today from the dealer that I ordered through. He notified us that the last day to make any changes to our order is January 5th. Just wanted to pass that along if people where still wandering when this was supposed to be.

If this info has already been posted, I apologize in advance.

I wonder why they wouldn't wait until after the IDL that is scheduled? If they are going to release new information during that session, I would think that might impact what some people want to order.

I covered this before:

I suppose your dealership can make their own deadlines...

Sorry Scotty. I forgot about your post of late January-early February.

Sorry Scotty. Didn't see that was posted. :(

After reading that info you posted, I'm guessing it's their deadline. Any insight on why they would do that??

My guess is, they have a bunch of cars ordered, and they've surely made changes to many of them at least once....Who ever is doing it might be getting a little "tired".....

Classic in Grapevine, TX. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 to 60 alloted cars, and the last time I talked to them they had about 70 or so people ordered. I could see where that would be a pain. I'm kinda worried that something will come out in the last IDL that I will want to change though. :(

If that's the case, that is a ridiculous excuse. I take orders from customers all day long and I am happy to change the order 1000 times if it makes them happy. As long as they pay at the end of the day. And for dealers who are charging MSRP they should be more than happy to change your order everyday if it makes you happy.

Just in from my dealer

"Nothing yet. As far as deadlines I did not hear anything but that doesn’t mean that it is untrue. Production is still scheduled to begin around February. I will let you know what I hear, Sorry I couldn’t have been more help but I will look into the ordering and get back to you. "
