To sunroof? Or not to sunroof?
That is the question. I like the reverse mohawk. But I also like sunroofs. I live in Florida, might be somewhere else by the time I'm ordering the car. I also have plans to do a custom racing stripe job, in which the stipes will go over the roof of the car. The reverse mohawk gives the car a very different look on both the interior and exterior. However, I love being able to put the sunroof back and let some extra sunlight in on a nice, sunny Florida day. I also am aware of how sunroofs start to leak and corrode from receiving constant sunlight for years. Not quite sure if the quality of the Camaro sunroof is or is not better than those before it.
I've heard it gets pretty dark in the cabin of the Camaro, especially with tinted windows, which I plan on getting. So I leave you all the question: To sunroof? Or not to sunroof? List your own pros and cons to either having the sunroof or having the reverse mohawk. Thanks in advance for helping me make my decision!

no sun roof.....completely ruins the roof....it was designed to have the reverse mohawk, how often do u really use a sun roof anyways? couple times a year maybe? not worth ruining them sexy body lines

Are you tall at all? I think the sunroof lowers the ceiling height a bit.

No sunroof! There's something about taking a finely tune automobile, throwing in 426 HP, the biggest stock breaks in the class...then cutting a hole in the roof.
Bottom line: Muscle cars should not have sunroofs...t-tops yes...sunroofs no. Just a personal opinion though |

No sun roof for me. I bought a car once with a sunroof, I think I used it once. And it was too noisy, so I shut. 1000 buck to use it once and not like it, never again.
Some cars where it goes into the roof better, and I lived down south... maybe. But I don't like the type that opens over the roof. Another big drawback is headroom. If your a tall fellar, skip it. |

I say to sunroof. I have been an friend of the sunroof from day one (as evidenced by my car having one). I personally don't recall any previous Camaro models that had such a roofline. To me it looks like a Dodge Viper or Corvette roof. While I don't hate it, I just don't like it either. Frankly, I think the sunroof open matches the lines of the rest of the car. I also like the extra light inside the cable that having the sunroof adds (even when it is closed and just the shade is opened). Either way, you are going to love the car.

Every dang day. Seriously. Had an '02 with T-tops and if the sun was shining the roof was off. Didn't matter if it was 75 or 105 degrees. I plan on doing the same with my '10... sunroof open and windows down.
If your a fan of the sun & wind while driving, get the sunroof.

Love mine, but I'm a shorty so no problem with headroom. As far as the "reverse Mohawk", if you went out in the public you would not be able to find three people that could tell you what that is. I get asked 40 times a day if mine is a V-8 or a 6, so nobody has that figured out yet either. Shop around, make an informed decision.
My sunroof does not leak and my T-tops on the Camaro and the Firebird in the olden times didn't either, they were just a pain in the arzz!
