Driving gloves for on the street? no
Drivng gloves on the track (road racing) yes One reason anyone uses gloves for anything is increased grip on your tool, whether it is a shovel, golf club or steering wheel. That reduces stress and fatigue on your hands. For hard driving, with gloves, you do not need to grip the steering wheel tight, the gloves offer better grip so you do not have to grab the wheel tight. You get a better feel for what the front tires are doing. Remember the steering wheel commincates to you also, it is not a one way street.

You shouldn't need gloves unless you're running the car hard.

If you are going to wear gloves, you need mirrored sunglasses!

I wear the mechanics gloves. Mostly so human hands never touch the interior. But I think they look cool too.

if I got in a car - any car - and the guy driving put on gloves, I would think he was an idiot...and I just asked my gf what she would think if I did that when we met - she replied she would've left me. then followed that with "why do you ask, if youre thinking about it , please don't"...
I am not trying to be mean with this post or a hater, I am just trying to keep you from looking like a "douche" which is another word my gf used.

If you have not driven a car at its extremes, and I'm not talking about drag racing,, the words clueless and ignorant come to mind.
