Forged v6 internals

So now that I have the funds to buy a supercharger for my LLT. I was wondering if any of the vendors are working on any internals for our v6? Now I roamed around a bit, and read that one of the vendors are actually building one. I can't seam to find the thread hinting towards one. From experience I would rather buy internals before boost. Any information is greatly appreciated.

They do? I'll check them out. I'm more worried about the crank shaft. I heard that they are the weak link in the motor.

You should be fine on the stock internals.... the crankshaft is not going to be the weak link... I think that might even be forged... There was tech article on the LLT that listed everything... The weak link IMHO is going to be the pistons... As long as you don't try and go crazy with the boost and you have a good tune you should not have any problems with the stock motor...

Not till they make a direct injection V8

Also pretty certain with the stroker kit increasing the displacement to 4.0L, and forged motor+ internals+twin turbo I am certain RX can push the "wittle" V6 to 700Hp and make a 10 second V6 Camaro (with other supporting mods suspension, brakes, tires, ect)

Yeah, we got a good look at the crank on the LLT and LFX doing my build. The guy that speced the pistons said it was better than the one on the LS engines. It should be fine. The rods and bearings are pretty good but pistons and pins will need to be toughed up for any serious power. You will also need to lower the compression ratio to run serious boost.

At the wheels? Probably not going to happen. You might get it at the crank, though. This is pure speculation at this point, but I don't know if the block could handle the approximately 850 crank HP, even if you could get enough fuel to it. Even with very good sleeves you have to worry about the different expansion rates of the materials that leads to fatigue. It might turn into a ticking time bomb.

No at the crank I would have listed it as WHP.

Tracy had stated before to have had a LLT engine make 700hp. Dont know the details of that. But I also agree that the weak link is only the pistons and the high compression we are running. Putting the car on a diet won't hurt also.
