Making magnaflow exhaust louder?

I just put a Magnaflow exhaust street version on my Camaro and realized it's not aggressive as I wanted it to be...any suggestions on how to make it more aggressive without wasting to exhaust that I've already purchased...I heard alittle about the X pipe and the H pipe....any suggestions?

Cross pipe would help sound but also improve the efficiency of the system. Definitely get the x pipe. Do you have a cold air intake? If not, I'd recommend the Cold Air Inductions intake; top quality, easy to install, looks great and sounds great. And it not only improves the sound but adds a bit of power too.

That isn't my install but it shows the system.

Oh and welcome to the Camaro family and to Camaro5.

You shoulda gone with the Magnaflow "Competition" axle back. It's a fancy muffler delete. You're not gonna get the sound you want unless you go with a muffler delete or more agressive muffler like the Borla Atak.

Take your system off and sell it. Then buy another system.

Add some long tube headers and a tune and it will fix things. I you don't want to go LT for now then your best bet is to sell the system for a small loss and use that money towards the 2.5" Comp Series cat-back.

Check with www.MagnaflowPlus.com for the best pricing. Call them and let them know you're with Camaro5...don't go by the prices on their web site.

there are many ways to make your exhaust louder.

new headers can make it louder, xpipe or H pipe(just patterns of the pipes), remove cats and or resonators, or muffler delete.

THIS.

And take out the factory crossover and put in the magnaflow tru x-pipe. That will make it louder. the x pipe is like 75 bucks.

I would keep it the way it is and save your money for Long Tube headers. Once you add long tube headers and high flow cats, you'll love the sound.

Take it from 2 guys with the exact same system. Put LT headers on and it will sound like a beast at WOT. If its still not loud enough than you can replace the muffler X pipe with a non muffled x pipe. If you dont want to get LT headers than I would suggest Solo high flow cats and replace your current x pipe with the non muffled x pipe. Do not sell your system to get more sound as I think you will lose some money in the deal when you can just tweak the current setup to your liking.

If you have the cat-back system then you already have an x-pipe. A CAI might increase the sound a little but not by much. Don't get your hopes up much on that one.

You really only have a few options if you really want your sound:
-Best option would be to add a set of LT headers and a tune.
-Sell what you have and get the 2.5" comp series exhaust.
-Sell what you have, put the factory exhaust back on, get a muffler delete and add an x-pipe to that.
-Cut out your street mufflers and add straight pipe.....but that would truely be a waste.

Ok....never saw that in the posts.

Another thing I thought that would probably work perfect would be to add some High Flow cats. That should bring out the sound and not have to do a tune unless you want.

Look at either JBA HF Cats or SOLO HF Cats.
