They do not take anything apart.

Most tint places tell you to not roll your window down for 2 days.

What the guy above me said. They clean all the windows they are going to put tint on, and then apply the tint to the inside of the glass. They will tell you not to roll down your windows for 3 days, and not to clean the inside of your windows for atleast a week. They will also tell you that it will look a little "hazy" for a few days and clear up.

thats good, i know they say that but what about the whole "window indexing issue" the windows roll down by themselves

make sure they have a lifetime warranty. i would expect 100-150 to be a fair price. 220 is way to much!

Mine is a daily driver, it's ok

wow really?? I thought 220 was a decent quote but ive only had one other car done before this so technically I am a noob at this whole window tinting situation. Im just a little scared about the 100 dollar shop because when i called, i asked them do you guys take apart the door and he's like maybe we have to see the car, and i saw some pictures on their website that seem like they apply the back window tint on the outside. This is my dream car and I literally treat it like my newborn child ( I GET MAD WHEN SOMEONE PARKS TOO CLOSE TO ME) i guess i am a bit crazy lol but i just dont want someone to mess it up then again i dont want to overpay

They don't actually apply it on the outside, but every shop has to cut the peice on the outside, so it will fit on the inside. this is a common practice.

I accidently rolled my whole window down 3 times only 2 hours after i got it done and nothing happened, but ya like another member said $125 - $175 is the max for window tinting in my opinion. I payed 169 for mine and it comes with a lifetime warranty...

The price also reflects the quality and the darkness of the tint film. I paid $200 for mine, but I had quotes for as little as $125. The $125 was for a 35% lower quality tint that had a 3 year warranty. The $200 tint was the better 3M stuff, had a darker rating (20%), had better UV protection, and also came with a lifetime warranty.

If your State allows it, I would recommend spending the extra to get the front brow done as well to the A1 line on the windshield ...
