Normal acceleration in 1st & 2nd.
I have a new 13SS2 LS3. It feels to me, while gradually accelerating in 1st and 2nd gear that it lags a little. Hard to explain, almost like a miss or something in the 2 to 3k range. When standing on it, no problem. It does idle a little rough, figured that was normal.
Was hoping someone else could tell me if their LS3 does the same thing or not. Car has 300 miles on it, 2nd tank of gas. Don't know what first tank was, filled by dealer. |

Even though its a giant V8, when the car is 100% stock, the idle should be really smooth, no noise, no vibrations. So if it does have a rough idle, you may have a problem.
When I got my car, I couldnt even tell if it was running when it was on. CAI, headers, and axle back exhaust make sure I can hear it now. |

Hmmm..... So I have a normal and a problem....LOL I will try fuse pull and see what happens. It is completely stock now, just the dual mode exhaust. About to put in an order for some go fast parts though!!!

I find the A/C cycling is noticeable in 1st and 2nd.
My idle quality and overall performance improved with miles, though I would say it idles smoothly about half the time. I recently took the air intake off so that I could re-seat the air filter box cleanly. That seemed to make the idle more consistently better. I also have the NPP, curious on how your fuse pull/premium goes. |

Stomp on it lol. The power in these engines is up in the 4k + range. Take a look at some dynos posted in the past. A little shaking and rumbling is normal. It's a big ass engine.

I feel ya, just want to make sure I don't have something that needs serviced before I start making mods.

One more vote for yours being normal. Mine had a SLIGHTLY rough idle when new and the performance was not all that impressive. As you can see already in this thread, these things are a matter of opinion. Either that or QC is awful and the idle smoothness and performance varies a lot from one car to another.

Since this is just the 2nd tank of gas and the first one was almost certainly 87 octane, run the current tank down really low and fill it with 93 top-tier gas (Shell, Chevron, etc.). Then do another fuse pull just to be sure. I did this with mine when I first got it and the second fuse pull (third or forth tank of 93) smoothed everything out.
