I hope your GA tuner is not the one that "locks" your ECM so that no one else can tune it. When I moved to TX I had to buy a new ECM and jump through several hoops to get it retuned after I had the headers and a few other mods made. I was not a happy camper at all, if its the other major tuner in the ATL you should be ok, but I'd ask about the "locked tune" with your problems you may be looking for another tuner, they also sold me a "house" clutch that came all apart and then basically blamed me for not breaking it in, the trip from GA to TX should have broken it in. (I broke the center out of it in Katy, glad some of the Houston folks helped me out). I will say the tune they did was good, but I was not told my ECM would be locked, really caused some major issues and $$$. I'd check on that although it's probably too late.

Car runs fine since finding all the boost leaks and when comparing to other L99 with completely stock valve trains, heads and bottom end at 7lbs max(very inefficient boost curve) the numbers were actually about rite.
My bigger issue was the YSI with the huge upper pulley (3.45) and big restrictor with the small cubic volume on the stock bottom end. The blower was underspun and no where near its efficiency range. Wasn't making boost until late in the curve and the rev limiter was reduced to protect the weak DOD valve train from overboosting. Basically I was trying to overbuild and restrain the V7 until I could grow into it but it was to chocked down and the DOD lifters keep me from redlining over 6200 rpm so the max rpm never hit the sweet spot in the compressor map I am now in the middle of adding a wastegate and dropping upper pulley to 2.95 in hope to hit max boost (8.5lbs) closer to 3k rpm and cary that power through the upper rpm range. Once we figure that part out it then its time for the blower cam and raising max boost to 10lbs

Valve train isn't weak, just keep RPMs at stock or lower.
I can't even count how many AGP kit bone stock l99 cars they have put out making 650-720rwhp. The 3/4th gear clutch pack start slipping is what limits the power, not the valve train. With a 6l90 swap a few are pushing 800+ without touching the valve train.

My trans is a built 6L80e and stall is 3200 with a 3:45 final gear, trans builder says I should be able to handle 700rwhp

8-12psi.
Boost doesn't matter anyways. Just a measurement of restriction. Nothing cars about boost.

Car was extremely rich at the top end (tune adjusted but still very conservative)
YSi was under spun so we went to smallest pulley and added a waste gate (torque booster kit) Fixed a boost leak just before TB (made a boost cap to test and find leaks) Meth was not activating, so timing was being pulled (new controller) 2-6 clutch pack was burned out in the trans (new clutch pack) Was getting a lot of blow by crankcase pressure (crankcase evac pump system installed) Car is now 490hp/480tq @9psi Motor is still fully stock L99, factory cam/heads/bottom end I think the built 6l80e trans is still eating at least 40HP even after refresh Tuner hates Holley intake manifolds which is probably restricting hp up to 20HP... The lunatic in me thinks the fix for that is switch to hi-ram base and a small sniff of direct port nitrous when the motor gets opened I'm happy for now until blower cam and heads next winter....

If u aren't happy with the ysi head unit I have a brand new black 1500 head unit that I am looking to trade for a ysi now that I have decided to build my motor it has one dyno pull on its from the ecs kit i just bought this summer just an option if u really are considering a smaller head unit
