Should be interesting to see why GM changed things up.
I found this out some months back because Vortech asked to use my car for "cold start" testing in exchange for a discount on their Camaro kit. Lo and behold, they found out that GM had changed the operating system for the PCM as well as having changed the actual vendor that makes the TCM and the accompanying tune. Fortunately, everything is running well on my car now, but at first, man oh man, not good. |

This may be a bad idea. I hope it doesn't brick a module. Going by date, I'd say you've done it by now. How did it work out? |

the newer o/s will not go with TIS,, it gets all the way done then it reset's and erases the tcm,, i did flash a 09 ctcv file in with TIS but the manual mode and tap shift did not function,, then i put my original file back in( hpt write cal only) and the trans has never shifted better, all the shift times are .100+ quicker and firmer,, no tcm codes and 400 miles later still shifting faster and firmer for some reason , with the same file i had in it for many months
