Borla atak plus K&n air intake
Hi.
I installed a Borla Atak cutback system on my 2010 camaro ss yesterday, I have to say the sound is pretty awesome at 3000 rpm or over but when it comes to idle it's a little quiter than what I want. I'm thinking about adding a k&n cold air intake to it but I was wondering if that gonna improve the sound is any way. Any help would be appreciated |

go with cold air inductions instead of a hot air intake like K&N"s typhoon....

And to answer your question, no it will not change your exhaust sound at idle. If you want a louder idle consider getting headers.

Thx for the reply guys.
So witch headers would you recommend considering the fact I don't wanna spend too much on it. |

If price is a factor look at the Texas Speed or Stainless Power headers. These will also require a tune so I'd suggest talking to Matt@FSP about that.

I should add that the headers will perform better with a CAI installed (less restriction in, less restriction out). I'm sure the vendors on here would be able to do a package deal with the headers and the intake.

Not sound wise (the engine will make more noise but the exhaust won't), but you will see around 10-15 hp with the intake.

Just fyi the k&n intakes work fine. If you buy one, the plastic one is the better oone of the two, not the chrome tube. Yes there will be a noticeable difference, not much if any exhaust tone, but it will increase power.
