Adding oil PSI gauge? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys, I was considering adding an oil pressure gauge in my SS. Perhaps in a single gauge pod. Didn't want to get the gauge pack in the console since they are expensive, nowhere near line of sight, and I use the cubby hole for junk anyway. Where do yall typically tie aftermarket oil PSI gauges to in order to get a reading?

You could get an a-piller gauge pod with an interceptor gauge to view different things or just mount a single oil pressure gauge there.

Your SS doesn't have an oil pressure gauge? Mine has a stock gauge on the 4 cluster. I didn't realize that wasn't a standard feature. Or, are you trying to put in a mechanical pressure gauge? Or maybe I'm just confused lol (happens all the time)

He has a 1SS, doesn't come w/ the 4 gauge cluster. I added it to my 1SS, but I agree an aeroforce guage or dedicated oil gauge. Or you could do a double gauge pod and do the OP and the Interceptor...I did this in my old GTO (which didnt' have an OP gauge either).

Unless your idea of monitoring the car is to wait for the idiot light notification, then the DIC is of little help. None of its menus show anything to do with oil aside from the percentage of life left.
