2015 Camaro vs 2015 Mustang vs ????
Okay, so I know this is a Camaro forum so some answers are going to be extremely biased but I wanted to get opinions from fellow car lovers. I'm looking into purchasing a new car and have narrowed it down to either a 2015 Camaro or a 2015-2016 mustang. I considered both the scat pack and upcoming 2016 Camaro but both the price range of 45k for the way I want them and the fact that the challenger is so much less nimble has pretty much convinced me against those cars. I also considered a wrx for awhile but decided I've always wanted a v8 so it's hard to go into a turbo 4. I own a 2011 Camaro as of now and love the Camaro. But I'm feeling like I may need some change which is the reason for consideration of the mustang. I have things I love and hate about both. So at this point it's a toss up. What would you guys suggest?
TL;DR: Which would you buy? 2015 Camaro or 2015-2016 Mustang? And why? |

Too vague to provide any reasonable answer outside guess work. The 2016 V8 Mustang barely qualifies to the new 2016 Camaro and their 350R is some lame marketing ploy against the superior Z/28 . Without question, I would pick up the outgoing ZL1, available for 45k if you look hard enough.

But if you want just a general Car to drive every day, a 15-16 Staaang would be my choice. Not as Track oriented, but still well put together with street optimized ride. Plus you'll have a whole new generation of Mustang to experience from start to end. Which is nice. I went through that with Gen5's and I would rather get a new car at the start of its Generation.

I cant stand mustangs, but they're pretty good on this generation. I would go Turbo 4 Mustang (with light mods and a tune, its gotten into low 12's)

If you can, try to rent a 2015 Mustang and use it on your daily drive, make sure it doesn't have any quirks that you might not like.
One feature that you will probably want though in Texas is that cooled front seats. I did basic training in the Summer at San Antonio and no way I could deal with the heat. |

Should be able to get a good deal on either car since it's the end of the model year. If you do go with a Mustang, join the Mustang Club of America for $50 so you can get the X-plan pricing. Think it will save you $2,500, but not sure. |

Weird that dealerships aren't knocking more off the 2015 Camaro, usually they are trying to make inventory room for the next generation. |
