This is the third or fourth time I've seen someone post about the no-lift shift. Is this for sure on the ZL1? I've done a ton of reading about the car,but don't recall anything from GM on the subject.

290 to each tire sounded a little dorky considering its crank rated!

So is it accurate to say that the ZL1 has yet to break out of the 12's in any magazine/ezine tests to-date?

It looks like it. Though, this one is certainly more inspiring than any of the other ones I've seen. I'm sure a late fall run on the east coast will yield a significant improvement over GMs numbers, not to mention a time slip that isn't 'corrected'.

I agree this really is about 2012 not 2013. Ford got spanked this year and they all know it, so lets just jump to 2013

Great Video, thanks for sharing, looking forward to running the ZL1 the way it was built. Still hard to believe this car is getting numbers that you'd normally invest $100k to reach. Good friend of mine owns a GTR and he's begging me to take the ZL1 for a ride when it's broke in. Given he let me drive his Z06 prior to trading for the GTR I'll have some good data to compare.

ZL1, has the rear axles, bushings & cooler to handle way hard clutch dumps ..much better ones than the magrag drivers were putting to it. And, lets all agree thats in MOST drivers hands, after a few practices, will be 12.0 runs AVG at the slow point. ADD Dtires. nothing else and you should see 11.6 once you get it set up right. SUB 12.'s easy. Tires = 11.5 knock knock knocking on the door! Maybe 11.4?? Good tree, good air pressure. The ZL1 deserves a "real" track day... with the AUTO and FLUFFY TIRES; Please don't take out the rear seat or install a roll cage. Not needed til it hits 10.5. :respect:

OK my forecast : 2012 ZL1 Auto = 11.5 (w/drag tires on each) Otherwise... all stock components.
