Never tried lol

I can look this evening and let you know

Knowing both guns are the same except for the barrels and that the 45 is a gun where the mag holds 5 bullets + 1 in chamber
The 9 holds 6 + 1 in the chamber

You may be right!

They probably are. Frames for similar models are usually identical. I.E. Sig 226 frame is the same for 9mm or .40 cal. The difference is the slide and the barrel.

I would be willing to be there is something in the slide that prevents you from moving the slide with an incorrect caliber in the mag. Interesting thought though... I guess I need to find someone with a 226 in 40 so I can give it a try.

Decisions.... decisions!
I have a McMillan Tac 50 that I can sell if interested...$10,500. Right now McMillan has a wait of 4+ months for that 50.

Thanks anyway but... I'm going to go with the Barrett M95, the dealer price without optics (I have a Nightforce 8-32x56 already) is just a little over half of what you want for your TAC 50. As an added bonus I can drive up and get my rifle right from the shop in TN when it's ready.

Not sure. This is the carbon fiber version so it was super light. It has some weight to it now. Everything serves a purpose in certain situations.
