Tickets & cruise/dinner

Nice...when I talked to Angie last week, she said the tickets had just arrived and would be going out. Anyone who has ordered their tickets should be getting them next week. If you have not ordered tickets yet, make sure you check the original post, or the Road Atlanta Website for the ticket deadlines. There is one deadline for receiving in the mail, after you will pick them up at Will Call, and another deadline for ordering the tickets.

In regards to the cruise/dinner Friday night, we are now thinking what we might do is cruise to Ga 20 (Mall of Georgia) and have dinner there. All of the out of town folks are staying at hotels there, and it would be nice for them (after all the driving) to pretty much be at their hotel when done eating. There are several restaurants there that all right next to each other, so we could park in one location, and have a choice of dinner. I think there is a Longhorn, Macaroni Grill, Chili's, O'Charlies, and a Olive Garden (across the street). Probably some others as well, but those come to mind.

We will be heading there after the parade laps, which are supposed to end around 5:30. That will be a nice little cruise down Highway 53 then onto I-85 to the exit.

Nothing final yet, but feel free to post your thoughts.

Also I need a volunteer to be the official photographer for the event. I am sure that lots of folks will be taking pictures, but I need someone with a nice camera, with some experience, to be ready for the group photo, the meet and greet, and maybe some photos of the lucky winners of the free give aways. I already promised Pfadt a photo for sending their items..............Sorry they did not send a set of coil-overs!

It will be here before you know it, so I should be getting some updates from Road Atlanta and Grand AM soon.

Look forward to a great two days.

David

This is going to be such an awesome event! Thanks david for your hard work of putting this together. I just wished that they could have moved the race since I was going to be out of town that weekend. My son's robot will be kicking some major robot a$$ this year. 425 robots from around the globe going down. But I still don't want to miss this either.

Hey Dave,
We just ordered our tickets with parking for two Camaros.

As for dinner, the GA Mall area tends to get crowded on Friday nights. I would like to propose some alternatives. There are four casual restaurants in my area between the Chateau Elan and Hamilton Mill exits near Spout Springs & Friendship road.

I personally recommend these in the order listed.

BBQ - really casual but great smoked bbq - not sure if they sell beer.
Mexican - Cabos
Mexican - another I cant remember their name.
Bibos Italian Restaurant

All have ample parking and generally no wait times for a table. If interested, I will get their addresses and proper names plus give them a heads up with the size of our group that will be coming.

Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Chris

Haven't purchased our tickets yet but will later today as wife and I will definitely be there. Put us down for the dinner and cruise as well as the lap on the track if that happens. We'd also prefer the Italian cuisine Friday night.

Thought of another place. Buffalo's Cafe is at Hamilton Mill/Braselton Hwy. That is toward the Mall of Georgia area, but not quite there, exit before.
